Think Video - Quick Return

TV Introduction I Video Search I Circulation I Bookings Scheduling I Store Items I Serial Items I Member Information I Accounting I Administration

Returning dozens of rented videos is quick and easy using the Think Video Quick Return window. In the example below, we are returning 10 videos, that have been brought back to the store on the 20th of August 2001, after being out for certain periods of time. As you can see, basic information about the video is displayed as you return each one. This way, for example, if the member is still in the store while you return his/her videos you will be informed if they were brought back on time or not.

The information on each item returned are :
  • Item Code - entered whenever you scan/type the items barcode into the system
  • Item Name - the name of the item being returned, usually the name of a movie
  • Date Due - when the item was due back (remember that this example was done on 20 AUG 2001)
  • Status - as you can see in the example below, some items are overdue. This information, along with the amount owing, will be stored in the "Unsettled Items" section of the "Rent Out Videos" window, until the debt is paid off
  • Member ID - the ID number of the customer that had these videos out on rent
  • Last Borrower - the name of the customer that had these videos

Quick Return

After scanning all the rentable items you wish to return at this time, you would simply click "Done" to lock in the changes, and mark each returned item as "In" in the system.
